Selection guide

  1. EAE model: MOG 35-55 (C57BL/6), full-length MOG (SJL), MBP (Lewis rat), PLP 139-151.
  2. Antibody specificity: Anti-MOG for conformational epitopes; anti-MBP for linear epitopes.
  3. Neurodegeneration marker: NfL in CSF/serum as disease activity and treatment response biomarker.
  4. Neuroinflammation: GFAP (astrogliosis) and Iba1 (microglia activation).
  5. Remyelination studies: PDGFRα/NG2 for OPC recruitment; MBP/MOG for mature myelin.

FAQs

MOG 35-55 vs full-length MOG for EAE?

MOG 35-55 peptide is standard for C57BL/6 mice; recombinant full-length MOG (rat/mouse) is preferred for SJL mice and conformational antibody studies.

Is NfL specific to MS?

NfL is a sensitive marker of neuroaxonal damage across many neurological conditions, including MS, ALS, and traumatic injury.

Can these reagents be used clinically?

All products are for Research Use Only (RUO) and not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
