Overview
Catalog No.JN884012
DescriptionCleaves terminal sialic-acid residues that are α2,3-, α2,6-, or α2,8-linked to Gal, GlcNAc, GalNAc, AcNeu, GlcNeu, oligosaccharides, glycolipids, or glycoproteins. Relative rate of cleavage is α2,3 >α2,8 = α2,6, determined on bonds in tri- and tetrasaccharides.
Expression systemE. coli
Protein lengthNeuraminidase (Sialidase) is cloned from Clostridium perfringens and expressed in E. coli.
ApplicationsNeuraminidase (Sialidase) has been used to desialylate transferrin in order to study its isoforms in human serum.
SpeciesClostridium perfringens
Predicted molecular weight44.04 kDa
NatureRecombinant
Endotoxin levelPlease contact with the lab for this information.
Purity>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
FormLyophilized
Storage bufferLyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol.
ReconstitutionReconstitute in sterile water for a stock solution.A copy of datasheet will be provided with the products, please refer to it for details.
ShippingIn general, proteins are provided as lyophilized powder/frozen liquid. They are shipped out with dry ice/blue ice unless customers require otherwise.
Stability and StorageUse a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles.Store at 2 to 8 °C for one week .Store at -20 to -80 °C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
